Jim and Mara had a beautiful wedding in October at the Pittsburgh Zoo and Aquarium! Though rain kept coming and going, the sun went down with a rainbow in the sky; the perfect ending to a perfect day. Not to mention: the autumn leaves were absolutely gorgeous! Everyone in attendance was delighted watching Jim and Mara tie the knot after 10 years of being together! The newlyweds looked SO in love and so happy—-the feeling of true love radiated throughout all the traditions.
As if my job could any more fun, it was so awesome having my best friend as a side-kick. Leigh (of Leigh Young Photography) is an amazing second shooter & friend. I don’t know what I would have done without her! We also had a super attractive bridal party to photograph, especially since my brother was a best man! All my friends in middle school and high-school had huge crushes on him. Mara, Jim, Rick, Leigh, and I all have something in common: we worked in the restaurant at Wildwood Golf Club at one time or another! During reception toasts, the other best man said: “Before I start, I just want everyone who has worked at Wildwood Golf Club to raise their hands.”….and about 30 people raised their hands! Someone pointed at me laughing and said “Look! Even the photographers have worked there!” Weddings are wonderful reunions!
Another favorite moment was the ring-bearer pointing at me and saying “Look dad–that girl has a big-a** camera!” haha…so cute.
Anyway, CONGRATULATIONS Jim and Mara–you two are definitely made for each other! I feel so honored to have been a part of your special day.
