Shawn and Rebecca’s wedding was so much fun! These two are so beautiful together and their bridal party was all about having a good time, which made for a lot of laughs all day.
Besides an exciting bridal party, Mr and Mrs Emert included so many cool touches to their wedding day to make it unique. I loved watching the video of Shawn’s proposal which served as a backdrop to their first dance— so touching and sweet. “Brooklyn Bridge” by Lee Dwyze serenaded their dance as everyone watched Shawn surprise Rebecca with a shiny ring on the Brooklyn Bridge in New York City. How romantic is that!?
These people are also serious college football fans. Rebecca ordered a groom’s cake for her man decorated with the FSU Seminoles logo. You would think this is a nice gesture or peace offering since she is a passionate Florida Gator’s fan. However, as soon as Shawn cut his cake, the inside was filled with blue and orange…such an awesome moment. All Gator fans chanted with pride!
Finally, this wedding definitely wins the “Best Garter Removal” award. Oh my goodness—it was hilarious. To set the stage, you need to know that Shawn is a police officer. When garter time came, Rebecca sat down and “Bad Boys, Bad boys, whatcha gonna do? Whatcha gonna do when they come for you” started singing from the DJ’s speakers. Shawn knelt down and started his “search”. First, Shawn pulled out a line of caution tape with a curious look on his face. Next, he found an evidence bag, which was held up for everyone to cheer at. Finally, handcuffs were removed from under Rebecca’s dress and lovingly placed on her wrists for the remainder of the search. By the time he found the garter, everyone was howling with laughter. It was so awesome. Good planning and execution you two!
Overall, their special day was characterized by smiles and laughter by everyone in attendance. Thanks for including me in your special day Shawn and Rebecca! You two are such a gorgeous couple together and your wedding day was absolutely perfect!
