Summer lovin’ we had a blast!

First, Oakley and I flew to Pittsburgh. Then, Ryland and Tyson drove to Pittsburgh. Then, Oakley, Tyson, Ryland, and I drove to New Jersey. Next, Ryland flew to Florida (then back to New Jersey). Finally, Oakley, Tyson, Ryland, and I drove back to Florida. Yeah—we are crazy.

And every single road trip, I promise that it is the last one.

Anyway, we had a great time visiting both sets of parents in our northern homeland. I made a lot of good memories with my Pittsburgh girlfriends. Here are the high-lights:

My best friends from highschool put on a fab backyard baby shower for my bestie, Courtney and her husband, Brad in Ohio.

My other best friends Katie (our wedding photographer) and Leigh joined me for a night out without babies at the new restaurant fad of the ‘burgh called “Burgatory”. We  personalized our burgers with a check-off list and ordered fantastic milkshakes. I got the “S’mores” milkshake, which was amazing. Pretty much anything modeled after a s’more has no chance of survival in front of me.

Another day, Leigh and I toured Ikea and Target/Babies R Us to collect the necessities for when her bump turns into a baby arriving August 20 (ish).

Krystle, Bethany, Ryland, and I went to Kennywood–something I have been wanting to do with Ry since we started dating! Kennywood is Pittsburgh’s amusement park, home to a few famous wooden roller coasters and of course big modern ones. I felt like a kid again running from ride to ride, throwing my hands in the air and screaming at the top of my lungs—mostly just for extra fun. the craziest ride was the new “black widow”! Oh my goodness. It is a huge wheel holding about 40 people that swung back and forth like a pendulum so incredibly high in the air. I am a dare-devil roller coaster rider–I mean I love the front seat and the back seat and being as “thrilled” as possible…but the black widow almost made me jump out of line before i got locked in. I braved it though and it was a fantastic ride. Cannot wait to go back. Of course, the day wasn’t finished until we gobbled up some soft pretzels, ice-cream, and yes, deep-fried Oreos.

Other than that, I walked around the street I grew up on with bare feet, admired the fresh cut soft grass, lush flowers and trees, and had “spaghetti night” on my grandma’s back porch (a family tradition since i was born). I love my family and my Pittsburgh roots so much! Couldn’t be more proud of my hometown! Look at that death trap! AHHH! it was so much fun though! After Pittsburgh, our little Weber clan made the 6 1/2 hour trek to new jersey for another week to visit Ry’s side of the family. we road bikes, got ice cream cones at our favorite shop, laid on the beach, ate some fantastic home prepared meals, and played endless games of boggle and scrabble. I also went shopping for baby toys for Oakley while Ryland went golfing with his brothers and dad. After both weeks and both families, we are thankful to be home in our own house and so incredibly grateful for fabulous families and fabulous in-laws. We are truly blessed. Tyson’s high-lights were visiting the dog park where he shows off his super-fast fetching skills and eating a vanilla ice-cream cone at the ice-cream shop in about 1 second flat.

hello & welcome

Hey friend! I'm Katie.

I am a wife, mom, and

moment-collector.

I absolutely cannot let life pass without capturing, documenting, and treasuring the seasons as they come and go through photographs.

That's where my camera comes in.

I hope you enjoy my work.

Can't wait to meet you!
