Introducing our new team member: Cruz Kingston Weber!

Our new beautiful baby boy is sinking down deep into our hearts every day. He is just beautiful—God, you did an amazing job! We are thrilled and humbled to be trusted as his parents. {Grace and mercy be upon us-thank-ya Jesus!} haha. With two boys, this momma is gonna need a lot of chocolate with an occasional glass of red wine.

Ryland and I like to choose names for our children that represent certain scriptures or concepts of the gospel. Cruz’s first name means “cross” and represents the idea that “the message of the cross…is the power of God to those of us who are being saved.” (1 corinthians 1:18) Ryland and I have experienced first-hand the power of God through the cross! I mean wow! It is the power of forgiveness and love and acceptance and renewal that just brings you to your knees in awe! when it came to choosing a(nother) “strong” name for a boy that would someday become a man, we both agreed: we know no strength more fierce than the love and power of God to save his children displayed in the cross.  

Cruz’s middle name represents a favorite memory Ryland has with his dad. Growing up, Ryland and his brothers all enjoyed sailing competitively. Their dad packed up a rowdy car of boys and traveled miles and miles across the United States and even to Kingston, Ontario for regattas. As Oakley’s middle name honored my father, we were excited to have another boy and honor Ryland’s father for the great man that he is and for the example of an amazing father he has been.
