Late February, I photographed Mike and Marcy’s fabulous White Room wedding. We started at the BayFront Inn where Marcy was getting ready. Along with some other divas in the room, I complimented Marcy on her hair and make-up because it looked absolutely stunning. In the midst of our admiration, we were interrupted by Marcy’s cell-phone which started to sing: “But, If you’re thinkin’ about my Baby, it don’t matter if you’re black or white” by (do I even need to say?) Michael Jackson.

I had not yet met Mike but just from this nice little ditty, I got a new idea of what he might look like. I just love that that is Marcy’s ringtone one, because it is cute, and two, because I had a major major crush on Michael Jackson when I was little. I would put my boombox (haha! boombox!) out in the front yard and do cartwheels and dances to his songs. One time I even made concert flyers and invited the neighbors to watch me dance to “Black or White” in the front yard. Needless to say, I got too nervous and went back around to everyone’s mailbox and took back the flyers so they wouldn’t come. The concert was cancelled. And…eventually my crush on Michael Jackson was exchanged for Orlando Bloom.

ANYWAY, I DIGRESS…This wedding was so wonderful. So intimate. So fun! Check out these two beautiful people and their beautiful families/friends…
