Ryland and I are just on top of the world with our baby boy. Oakley is totally healthy and doing great. He is also such a cutie pie (we would think that anyway since we are his parents—but seriously…he is a baby stud muffin!). Leigh Young  captured us going for the gold in the extreme sport of birthing. I am SO thankful we flew her in from pittsburgh to take pictures of our baby’s journey into life! She is amazing. Next time you give birth, call this girl!  Here is one of  the many many photos taken by Leigh right after he took his first breaths on my chest. We truly appreciate your wonderful kindness and thoughts toward us. We feel very loved and blessed. i wore a pearl necklace my dad had given me years ago while i was delivering Oakley into life. So glad his memory was right there with us the whole time. :) We also had a slightly less classy representation of my dad (his dos equis “stay thirsty my friends” t-shirt) hanging on the tv in the room. All the nurses probably wondered why this pregnant girl was hanging a beer t-shirt in my labor room!
