yesteryday, my friend Dawn {from DayBreak Studios} and i set out to just. have. fun. Spending so much time on commissioned work is awesome. We both obviously LOVE being photographers of people. But sometimes it is a nice little therapy to get out and shoot randomness. To me, it is a form of worship. Photographing the little details of a typical day reminds me how much God loves us in totally secret, and at the same time, completely obvious ways. I may have walked by these scenes a hundred times in the 7 years I have lived here; but yesterday I chose to look for God. and his goodness. and his colors. and his textures. and his style. and his patterns. and his beauty.
It is impossible to miss the love God has for you when you choose to look for it. Not even search. Just look. in any general direction. And there. yes…right there, it is. waiting to be seen.
With our strollers packed up with babies, snacks, and diapers; our cameras slung and game-faces on, dawn and i were ready to find every-day goings-on and turn it into beautiful gossip. like “Harriet the spy.” i always wanted to be like her. *sigh
