Kelly & Mark are two of the sweetest people on earth. They are both absolutely stunning and their kindness is even more amazing than their looks. I am so glad they got hitched to spread the love even more!
Mr. and Mrs. Himes tied the knot in the beautiful early-fall weather of Pittsburgh, PA. It could not have been a more gorgeous day for a wedding. {I know i say that all the time–but seriously–I have a soft spot for Pittsburgh in the fall.} arriving at Kelly’s home, I was overcome with warmth; fully understanding where her heart got its roots. Before even getting through the front door, the love inside was made obvious by 10-15 purple heart balloons swaying in the wind, tied carefully around the home’s fence posts; kelly’s dad’s way of shouting from the rooftops: “today is the day!” This struck me as especially sweet since most fathers of the bride are reluctant to show excitement about “giving their daughter away.”
I don’t blame her dad for celebrating though; Mark is an amazing match for Kelly. They have respect, adoration, and fun! Though Mark and Kelly had a gorgeous and extravagant wedding, their love took up the challenge and shone brighter. All the sparkles and grand views of St. Mary of the Mount and Le Mont were dull in comparison to how they looked at each other that day.
Mark and Kelly–I am so very happy for you guys. You mean a lot to me even though we know each other through brief and unusual circumstances. I can’t wait to see what God does in your marriage and in your family. You two are incredibly inspiring as people and as lovers. Congratulations!
